Privacy Policy

This policy explains what PropertyRoofs, a service of Northwoods Ventures LLC, collects when you use our website, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. The short version: you can use every page without telling us who you are.

1. What we collect

No accounts, forms or contact details. The site has no sign-up, and none of its pages ask for your name, email address, or phone number. If you email us, we receive your email address and what you write, and use them only to reply.
Technical data. Like any website, our hosting provider receives your IP address, browser and device type, the pages you request, and the page that referred you, and keeps them in short-lived server logs used to run and secure the site.
Usage data. Vercel Web Analytics records how the site is used: pages viewed, how you arrived, device and browser type, and approximate location. See section 4.

2. How we use it

To deliver pages to you.
To keep the site secure, prevent abuse, diagnose problems, and understand overall traffic.
To answer your email.
To comply with law.

Service providers that run the site on our behalf: Vercel (hosting and website analytics). They may process data only to provide their service to us.
Legal and safety. When required by law, legal process, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of anyone.
Business transfers. If Northwoods Ventures LLC is acquired or merges, information may transfer to the successor under this policy.

We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for targeted advertising.

4. Cookies and analytics

The site sets no cookies of its own and runs no advertising tags.

Vercel Web Analytics. We count page views with Vercel Web Analytics, from our hosting provider. It doesn't use cookies and doesn't store your IP address. It tells visits apart with a code made from each request, which is discarded after 24 hours, and gives us only totals: pages viewed, the site that referred you, device, operating system and browser type, and approximate location. There are no advertising tags on the site. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; every page still works. If we add advertising or forms that collect information, we will update this policy first and describe them here.

5. Other websites

Our pages link to other sites, such as the manufacturer data sheets, test standards and guides we cite. What happens on those sites is governed by their own privacy policies.

6. How long we keep it

Server logs are kept for a short period, generally no more than 30 days, unless we need them longer to investigate abuse or as the law requires. Emails are kept as long as we need them to answer you.

7. Your choices and rights

To ask what we hold about you, or to have it corrected or deleted, email support@propertyroofs.com and we will respond within 45 days. Residents of states with consumer privacy laws, including Connecticut, California, Colorado, and Virginia, and of the European Economic Area and the United Kingdom, may exercise their rights under those laws the same way. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.

8. Security

Pages are served over HTTPS. No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee against every breach.

9. Children

PropertyRoofs is written for building owners, property managers and facility managers. It is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe we have, email us and we will delete it.

10. Changes

We may update this policy. The effective date appears at the top. See also our Terms of Service.
